Message from the President

At SDK, through the development and manufacture of test sockets for semiconductors and module components, we have grown alongside the advancement of cutting-edge technology in Japan and around the world.

We believe our test sockets are more than tools that electrically connect devices to inspection equipment. They are “points of trust” that correctly draw out the value of the devices our customers have poured their hearts into developing, and help send them out into the market.

We sincerely respond to challenging requests and highly customized small-lot projects, drawing on the advanced technical capabilities we have cultivated over many years. Our strengths are our “proposal power,” born of “co-creation” in which we work closely with customers on their challenges and create new value together, and our “agility” in turning ideas into reality quickly. We will continue to take on challenges with reliable technology to enhance the value of our customers’ products and contribute to the development of the markets and society beyond.

In our conversations with customers, we often hear comments such as “Wait, you can do that?” and “We’ve been modifying general-purpose sockets and struggling through evaluations.”

In device evaluation and testing, people often accept extra effort and adjustments, thinking “that’s just how it is.” But this may be a sign of having unconsciously grown used to inconvenience.

Our aim is to discover such “unconscious inconveniences” and eliminate them at the root by giving sockets and peripheral equipment new functions. In this way, we contribute not only to device evaluation but also to reducing the load on equipment in mass-production inspection and making inspection processes more efficient.

Freeing our customers from “unconscious inconveniences” and evolving the inspection process itself: this is the starting point of SDK’s manufacturing and the role we believe we must fulfill. We will continue to provide solutions that exceed our customers’ expectations through the “proposal power” and “agility” that come from “co-creation” with our customers.
